When people think of recycling, they think about pop cans, water bottles, boxes and paper, and jars and cans. There are enough companies out there recycling those materials; we wanted to tackle a harder (pun intended) problem: we recycle hard plastics categorized by a 2, 5, and 7. These hard plastics can take up to 1,000 years to break down in a landfill and are the most likely to appear in the trash and waterways. That fact is what drove us to build Ecotech™. Someone needed to be willing to tackle the hard stuff.
If you have materials you are wondering about, contact us. Let’s save the earth together! We are always looking for new trash to save from landfills and waterways. Below are some of the materials we have figured out how to recycle:
Many recyclers focus on packaging like cans, bottles, boxes, jars, and paper. Did you know that whole loads of recyclable goods can still end up in landfills? If there is anything outside that recycler’s codes, the entire lot will be thrown away due to contamination. Not only that, most of them require that the packaging be clean and free of food. That is not what we do.
Ecotech™ is a vertical recycler and manufacturer with sustainability built into who we are. We clean what we receive and dismantle items with what others consider contaminants, like rubber, silicone, metal, and foam. Our advanced and innovative recycling methods separate the materials we can’t recycle from what we can. We then take those items we can’t use and send them to recyclers of those materials. So while some recyclers will throw away lots of perfect plastic because of a “contaminant,” we refuse to.
